6th Grade 1st, 3rd and 4th
Finished discussion of Earth at night project
All steps we took, struggles, and fact that critical thinking is harder than just being able to get answers handed to you. We also talked about how rewarding it can be to do your own research, and come up with your own conclusion to a problem. We also talked about most problems in life involve critical thinking and answers will not always be "right there"
Students were asked to write a page reaction paper to the project. In that paper they were to include
1. Description of project and process
Step by step what did you do.....
2. Feeling about how it went, conclusion(why was there lights in some places and none in others), and what did you learn about problem solving and yourself??
